The report aims to identify - on the basis of a review of First National Reports to the Convention on Biological Diversity of European countries - how European countries are integrating biodiversity into relevant sectorial or cross-sectorial programmes and policies, with a focus on Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) Article 6b General Measures.

The report is divided into two analytical components: a general assessment on how integration is reported within the formal documents 'First National Reports on implementing the Convention on Biological Diversity', and a specific assessment focusing on a sector-by-sector review. The report ends with a series of conclusions.
