Background information: Peter’s primary responsibilities are the development and implementation of programmes and projects on regional and local Biodiversity and Sustainability for regional and local authorities in the Netherlands and other European countries.

Peter also coordinates the annual working programme with the Province of Noord-Brabant. Within the framework of this programme he coordinates and is charged with the widening of the Countdown 2010 process and is secretary of the Taskforce Countdown 2010 and Biodiversity in Noord-Brabant.
Peter has extensive knowledge and experience in the field of biodiversity and sustainable development, by working for several governmental and non-governmental organizations, involved with nature conservancy, biodiversity, environmental issues, water management, spatial development and rural reconstruction. In addition, he has been a Provincial Councillor for several years.
