Bojanatour: From vision to reality

The third and final ICZM Bojanatour workshop, the ‘Vision 2025 for Ulcinj coast and the communication strategy for nature-based tourism’, was held on 2 and 3 June 2015 in the Municipality of Ulcinj, Montenegro. The aim of the workshop was to present the 2025 Vision for Ulcinj coast and to discuss its feasibility and the next steps for its achievement with all concerned stakeholders.

The communication strategy for nature-based tourism in Bojana Delta and neighbouring areas was also presented to the municipality and local tourism board as well as some local enterprises. The strategy is an important component for implementing the Vision and promoting responsible sustainable tourism in Ulcinj among local stakeholders.

After the meeting, the team dedicated time to discussions and contributions from people who were not able to attend the meeting. The local TV station interviewed the team about the project and its key messages and the road to the future in Bojana Delta.

The project is coordinated and led by the ECNC Land and Sea Group in collaboration with the local associations Green Step (GS) and Ulcinj Business Association (UBA). The project is funded by the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF).
