5th BioScore project team meeting
The 5th BioScore project team meeting took place on 6-8 May 2008, Oslo and it was hosted by NINA-Norwegian Institute for Nature Research. Main discussion points focused on the finalisation of the case studies, in the interface of the web tool and in work package 5, on how to integrate the web tool into a long-term monitoring programme.

4th BioScore project team meeting
The 4th BioScore project meeting took place on 18-19 September 2007 in Joensuu (Finland) and it was organised by EFI (European Forest Institute). The aim of the meeting was, apart from taking stock of progress, to discuss a draft version of the BioScore tool interface and model for biodiversity impact assessment, to have an in-depth discussion on case studies, to have an initial discussion on how to integrate assessment of ecosystem services, to have an initial discussion on the final report and final meeting, and to discuss quality assurance.

2nd BioScore Steering Committee meeting
The 2nd BioScore Steering Committee meeting took place on 22 May 2007 at DG Research in Brussels.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the European Commission (DG Research, DG Environment and DG Eurostat), BirdLife International and the Project Coordinator of the MACIS project. Members of the project team were also present.

The aim of the meeting was to inform the Steering Committee of progress and in partciluar to show what the BioScore tool for biodiversity impact assessment might look like and what its possible output may be.

The Steering Group felt that BioScore is starting to produce valuable results. They were pleased with BioScore tackling, among others, the issue of biofuels from the biodiversity point of view as it is a topic of increasingly high political interest.

The aim of the meeting was, apart from taking stock of progress, to review the draft model for biodiversity impact assessment, decide on input requirements for model, decide on sensitivity scoring system and initiate discussion on the case studies.

The 2nd BioScore meeting took place in the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' in Italy in September 2006. The aim of the meeting was, apart from taking stock of progress, to decide on the set of environmental variables, the set of selected species and the set of sensitivity data to be used in BioScore.

The meeting was attended by the whole project team and two Italian experts on mammals, amphibians and reptiles.

Kick-off meeting
The kick-off meeting took place in Brussels at Hotel Errera on 14-15th February 2006 and the whole project team attended. On the second day, members of the Steering Committee (mainly from the Commission) joined the meeting in order to discuss the policy sectors on which BioScore should focus and which pressures related to these policies impact on biodiversity.
